On to a new section my fellow Pineapples. Thanks for sticking with me this far. Let’s get our sweet on! How many men have you heard say “Ah, man, I miss her laugh!” or “Oh, the way her laugh lit up the room!” and look off into the sky and smile when he misses a woman in his life? That is because laughter sparkles like a splash of water in the sunlight. A woman’s laugh can make her smile her sexiest curve. That man could pick that woman out in a crowded room because he would be able to recognize her laugh anywhere, anytime. That is one of the things that made her so attractive to him.
Psychology Today published an article in April of 2003 “The Benefits of laughter: Why laughter may be the best way to warm up a relationship.” Hara Estroff Marano concluded that women laugh 126% more than guys do. Guys love women who laugh when they are together. Guys want to be the reason a woman is laughing. It plays a role in attraction because it brings people together. Estroff Marano even suggested that there was not enough home-grown laughter being creating. Home-grown laughter is needed to construct a positive environment which allows people to connect. If there is not enough home-grown laughter in the relationship, it runs the risk of being dissolved. What this tells me is that the key to all happy and healthy relationships is laughter and that love is the treasure. Laughter appears to have tons of benefits that all women can giggle about!
Let’s talk about some of the health benefits of laughing. Laughter really does enhance your quality of life while enriching those around you. The best part is that you can give it for free and you can receive it for free. I don’t know how many of you have been exposed to the movie “Patch Adams.” There is a scene in the movie where Robin Williams is dressed up with a red clown nose, q-tips for alien antennas, and he is with a young cancer patient who is just laughing at him. You can tell at that moment the young cancer patient does not remember she is sick, she is just living in that one moment happy and content with life. Patch Adams believed that humor helped patients better than any medication. After being kicked out of medical school for acting foolish, the school made a remarkable discovery. His unconventional method of humor actually cured some of his patient’s ailments entirely and made the lives of his terminally ill patients a lot less painful and a lot more joyful. Patch Adams is a real man, and he did a lot of amazing things we could all learn from, but he proved that laughter really is the best medicine.
Laughing releases a feel-good endorphin into your body that is just as powerful as morphine. Laugher amplifies the quantity of antibody-producing T cells. This increase of T cells allows us the ability to fight off coughs and colds. Laughter therapy has been known to help people who suffer from tension and stress and lowers levels of anxiety and irritation. Laughter improves blood flow and reduces the likelihood of heart disease and lowers blood pressure. If you laugh more in your daily life you will see things from a more positive perspective; therefore you are more optimistic, and you will live longer because optimistic people are less likely to die than pessimistic people. Sounds pretty simple to me! You really need to consider joining the gym of laughter and get yourself membership because it is the best membership that you can get for your heart and soul. The best part is that it is you never have to spend one dime on that membership.
Laughter is timeless, and it is the universal connection. No matter what color you are, no matter what your religion is, no matter what language you speak, no matter how much money you have, laughter is the one thing that connects and binds us together. Laughter is a thing that all people can give and absorb. Science has proven that animals, such as chimps and great apes, can understand laughter and laugh themselves. So the power of laughter can be an interspecies form of communication as well. Laughter tells us we have something in common despite our differences. It gives us positive interactions with others and symbolizes acceptance.
People are more likely to laugh in social settings because laughter is contagious. Have you ever had an uncontrollable giggle where you lost your breath, and your belly hurts? I have, and those are my fondest memories of my lost friendships and the ones I still have. My Highschool BFF and I laughed for hours one day playing a board game and still to this day the phrase “June’s busting out all over” makes us laugh like it did that day. I don’t ever think we will forget how we felt in those moments. My absolute favorite laughter memory was the first time my youngest daughter ever flew on an airplane. When the plane was taking off, she started giggling from the feeling. She was giggling so loud and so hard that my parents, her sister, and I were joining her. Before we knew it, all the people around us were laughing. She made that take off fun and memorable for everyone.
You see, when we laugh with others, we don’t use our heads we just spread infectious laughter that breaks the tension in the room and reduces stress. If you want your soul to dance more then, you need to laugh more. If you wish to have fireworks in your soul, then find any reason you can to laugh. Always discover a motive to laugh. It indisputably will improve your quality of life for the duration of your existence.
In this section, we are going to start homework again. Your homework, if you choose to accept it, is to find your laughter again. Remember back to when you were a child and laughter was all around you. If you have to do something childish to do that, then do it. Have moral and ethical fun with this homework and find a clever way to bring laughter back into your life and spread it around to others. Pineapples spread confident and positive vibes naturally, and laughter falls right in line with that. As you evolve into this fabulous Pineapple, your life will feel like it is finally starting to fall into place. That is when the fun truly begins.
